TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR THE OUTCOME AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
The only way to do great work is to love what you do.
Steve Jobs
Taking ownership and accountability for outcomes, is a key trait of successful individuals.
According to Nathaniel Branden, a psychotherapist and the guru of the self-esteem movement, taking responsibility is the first step to developing a robust sense of self.
Ownership does not mean authority but an obligation to take charge of what you are doing and delivering results. It requires a mindset of ‘Living with Responsibility’. This mindset helps you become proactive in seeking solutions. It makes you an individual that can operate with minimal supervision and increased independence.
Taking ownership breeds initiative; cuts the blame-game; stops you from hoping that others will help or do it for you and consequently increases productivity.
Now, that sure sounds like a recipe for success. Hence, don’t delay, take ownership of your own success!
